The Supreme Court will conduct an in-depth hearing today concerning the petitions related to the Special Intense Review (SIR). Justices Surya Kant and Joymallya Bagchi will form the bench to hear these petitions. ADR and various opposition political parties have filed petitions in the Supreme Court regarding SIR. The bench will also address ADR’s application seeking a list of 65 lakh voters excluded from the draft list, which the Election Commission denied in an affidavit, citing regulatory reasons. In other news, a bike rally for Members of Parliament is scheduled today as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program. The rally will begin at 8 AM from Pragati Maidan, pass through India Gate and Kartavya Path, and finish at Major Dhyanchand Stadium. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, has extended an invitation to all Members of Parliament to participate in the bike rally. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy rainfall will persist in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh today. A red alert has been issued for Uttarakhand, while an orange alert has been issued for Himachal Pradesh due to the expectation of rainfall.
