C.P. Radhakrishnan, hailing from Tamil Nadu, has been selected by the NDA as their candidate for the Vice President position. The selection comes after the vacancy created by Jagdeep Dhankhar’s departure. The BJP Parliamentary Board convened and finalized Radhakrishnan’s name, with J.P. Nadda making the formal announcement. The Vice Presidential election will take place on September 9th. Should Radhakrishnan be successful, he will be the third individual from Tamil Nadu to become Vice President. Before him, two others from Tamil Nadu have previously served in this capacity.
