An Israeli airstrike on the Hujat Dost Ali Hostel in Tehran resulted in injuries to three Kashmiri students, as reported by the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA). While the injuries are not life-threatening, the students are reportedly traumatized by the event. The JKSA has stated that the students have been relocated to a safer area outside Tehran. Female medical students in Iran described their situation as terrifying, and appealed to local authorities for urgent assistance and evacuation, as their families are worried. Parents of the affected students have also appealed to the Indian government for immediate intervention and evacuation, and are facing difficulties in contacting their children due to poor network connectivity. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has engaged with the External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to discuss the safety of Kashmiri students in Iran amid the rising tensions.
