Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and a prominent RJD leader, is facing legal action in Maharashtra. An FIR has been filed against him in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, due to an allegedly offensive social media post targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP MLA Milind Narote initiated the complaint, leading to the police investigation. The disputed post was made on a social media platform. The complaint alleges that the post included critical remarks made prior to a visit by the Prime Minister to Gaya. Specifically, the post reportedly labeled PM Modi as a ‘liar’ and accused him of making false promises. The complaint also referenced a post that featured a song that satirized the Prime Minister. The MLA claimed that the posts were designed to disrupt peace and create unrest within the community. The FIR includes various charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including accusations of defamation, inciting hatred, and causing public mischief.
