A shocking incident unfolded at the inauguration of a temple in Andhra Pradesh, where a police constable was assaulted by the cousin of Minister BC Janardhan Reddy Badha of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The event occurred at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Kolimigundla Mandal, and a video of the assault has circulated widely. According to reports, Sub Inspector Jaswanth Kumar stopped Bobbala Madana Bhupal Reddy, the Minister’s cousin, from entering a closed-off area. Reddy then allegedly abused and slapped the officer in public. The police have registered a case and arrested Bhupal Reddy. Minister BC Janardhan Reddy condemned the incident, and the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has voiced strong criticism, citing concerns about the rule of law.
