A truck carrying approximately 15 to 17 Kanwariyas met with an accident in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, leading to one death and injuries to 14 individuals. The incident occurred near Jajal, Tachla, close to Thana Narendra Nagar, as the vehicle was traveling from Rishikesh towards Chamba. Following the accident, emergency services, including local police, administrative staff, and the SDRF, immediately initiated rescue operations. The injured were initially treated at Fakot Primary Health Center, with some critically injured patients later transferred to AIIMS Rishikesh and Narendra Nagar Hospital for advanced care. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami offered his sympathies and assured support for the injured.
