Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen of Tripura was rushed to the hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage at the Agartala Railway Station. Chief Minister Manik Saha reported that Sen was traveling to Dharmanagar by train when he collapsed in a restroom. Medical examinations at Tripura Medical College (TMC) confirmed the hemorrhage, and doctors have advised immediate surgery. Sen’s political career includes four terms as MLA for the Dharmanagar constituency. He initially won in 2008 representing the Congress, and then secured subsequent victories in 2013, 2018 (after switching to BJP), and most recently in the 2023 elections, securing his fourth term.
