At Tripura University’s landmark 14th convocation in Agartala Sunday, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan exhorted graduates to pursue goals with discipline, steer clear of drugs, and leverage technology responsibly for the greater good of society and country.
Amid India’s bold push for Viksit Bharat 2047, he positioned the youth as pivotal agents of change. ‘Harness technology’s potential ethically,’ he advised, linking purposeful advancement to societal elevation.
He vividly described Tripura’s cultural richness, fresh from his Tripura Sundari Temple pilgrimage, and praised central-state synergy in developments. Highlighting the Mata Bari Tourism Circuit, he foresaw its role in global eco-spiritual tourism, job creation, and economic upliftment.
Northeast’s integration owes much to enhanced connectivity, he said, crediting PM Modi’s leadership for infrastructure leaps in transport modes that embody national unity.
Invoking Tamil poet Subramania Bharati, he urged committed public service, affirming that diverse India thrives through collective unity and effort.
Applauding the university’s strides in education, research, and innovation—via rising papers, grants, and IPs—he digitally opened advanced faculty and residential infrastructure.
Joining the festivities were the Governor, Chancellor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Chief Minister Manik Saha, Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha, VC Shyamal Das, Registrar Samir Kumar Sil, faculty, VIPs, families, and the new alumni.
