Donald Trump has adopted a different approach towards India in his second term. He was amicable until February. He made grand statements during his meeting with PM Modi. He entrusted the future of Bangladesh to PM Modi. Subsequently, relations between the two countries deteriorated, and Trump is entirely responsible for this. The American president is continuously making statements. He has escalated tariffs on India to 50 percent due to its oil purchases from Russia. He often pats himself on the back. He repeatedly claims credit for stopping wars in order to win a Nobel Prize. Pakistan has given him credit, but India is unwilling to accept his narrative. By doing all this, Trump has damaged the India-US relationship. Meanwhile, several leaders within his own country are attempting to control the damage. When Trump appointed Sergio Gor as the US Ambassador to India in recent days, Senator Mark Rubio posted on X. He stated in his post what India means to America.
