A severe cloudburst struck Silai Band in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, causing significant damage to an under-construction hotel located along the Barkot-Yamunotri Marg. The incident has led to the disappearance of 8 to 9 construction workers who were staying at the site. District Magistrate Prashant Arya of Uttarkashi confirmed that search and rescue teams have been mobilized. Both the SDRF and NDRF are actively involved in the operation at the affected site.
