Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh – With the 11th International Yoga Day approaching on June 21, the Andhra Pradesh government conducted a comprehensive review meeting at the VMRDA office in Visakhapatnam. The meeting focused on the arrangements for the event, which is expected to attract half a million attendees. Several ministers, including Vangalapudi Anitha, and other public representatives were present to oversee the preparations. Home Minister Anitha provided details after the meeting, emphasizing the government’s dedication to the event and its promotion of Yoga as a part of life. Detailed plans are in place, including the allocation of 326 compartments for attendees, the installation of over 2,000 CCTV cameras for security, and the provision of essential items such as yoga mats and ORS bottles. An alternative venue, Andhra University, has been arranged in case of inclement weather. The government is focused on ensuring a seamless and successful Yoga Day celebration, highlighting the importance of Yoga for health and community cohesion.
