The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced an expectation of heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of India tomorrow. The forecast highlights specific regions where significant precipitation is likely. Chhattisgarh, coastal Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand are among the states anticipated to receive heavy rainfall. In addition, unfavorable weather conditions are foreseen for coastal Andhra Pradesh, East Rajasthan, the Gujarat region, Himachal Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, and Goa.
The department also indicated that heavy rainfall is probable in Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, and Vidarbha. The forecast further warns of potential problems like waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and landslides in hilly areas within these regions. Furthermore, the possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms is predicted for the Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Gujarat state, interior Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jharkhand, Lakshadweep, and Telangana. The public is advised to remain cautious and follow local weather updates, given the active monsoon and continuous rainfall across the country.
