A woman, identified as Sarju Yadav, has accused the staff of the Kalindi Vihar, Trans Yamuna Police Station in Agra of misconduct, prompting an internal investigation. Yadav alleges that she was assaulted and her clothes were torn while inside the police station, specifically accusing the SHO and other officers. She has also stated her intention to commit suicide if she does not receive justice, holding the police responsible. The situation reportedly arose when Yadav went to the police station to inquire about the status of a concluded case. A physical confrontation between Yadav and a female police officer was captured on video and has been widely shared. The Agra Police responded with a statement indicating that Yadav’s case had been closed. According to the police, Yadav began recording a video at the station and, when stopped, “misbehaved, abused, and physically assaulted” a female officer, also attempting to harm herself. The police have refuted her claims, labeling them as baseless.
