Authorities in Rewari have arrested a woman and a broker linked to a marriage fraud scheme. The scheme involved deceiving individuals under the pretense of marriage. Jaldeep, a Rewari resident, became a victim of this scam. Jaldeep was introduced to broker Sohal and was informed about a woman named Pooja. He paid 2 lakh rupees and brought her home. Soon after, she fled with valuables. The investigation revealed that ‘Pooja’s’ real name is Kaushalya, a married mother of four. ‘Rahul,’ presented as her brother, was her boyfriend, Rakesh. Kaushalya would hire people to pretend to be her family. Kaushalya had previously been arrested in a similar case and was out on bail. The police have secured a 2-day police remand for the accused for further investigation.
