A woman was shot in the face in Gwalior on Friday by her husband, Arvind Parihar, near Roop Singh Stadium. Eyewitnesses reported multiple shots fired, with the victim suffering severe injuries and requiring immediate hospitalization. Upon attempting to intervene, police officers were confronted by the gunman, who threatened them with his weapon. This prompted the use of tear gas to incapacitate and arrest the suspect. The victim, Nandini Parihar, had previously filed complaints against Arvind, detailing a pattern of harassment, including accusations of a deceptive marriage, physical assault, threats, and the distribution of offensive content. Authorities are investigating if the shooting is linked to the previous allegations.
