The BJP marked the 11th International Yoga Day by organizing a yoga session in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk. Attendees included BJP workers, local residents, and yoga practitioners. The main Yoga Day event was held in Visakhapatnam, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large gathering along the coastline. The Prime Minister described yoga as a timeless practice promoting unity and well-being. He commended the efforts of the Andhra Pradesh government and its leaders for their role in hosting the event, which involved a mass yoga session with over 300,000 participants. The theme for this year, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ underscores the interconnectedness of human and planetary health. India’s initiative at the United Nations to establish International Yoga Day was also highlighted.
