New Delhi: The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) on Sunday carried out raids at a number of locations in Kashmir valley and arrested two ‘operatives’ of The Resistance Entrance (TRF). It thought of a shadow outfit of the banned Lashker-e-Taiba terror group, which has claimed duty for a spate of focused civilian killings.
The searches have been carried with the help of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police at seven places in Kulgam, Srinagar and Baramulla districts, the NIA mentioned in a press release.
Two TRF operatives, Tawseef Ahmed Wani from Baramulla in North Kashmir and Faiz Ahmed Khan from Wampora in Anantnag of South Kashmir, have been arrested for his or her involvement within the conspiracy.
On June 27, a case was registered at Bahu Fort police station after the restoration of an IED from a Lashker-e-Taiba terrorist in Bathindi, Jammu, he was arrested for indulging in terrorist acts within the Union territory. The NIA registered the case once more and arrested three terrorists.
Investigation revealed that Pakistan-based handlers of LeT and their associates based mostly in Jammu and Kashmir had conspired to trigger intensive terror actions for harming the general public, the assertion mentioned.
That they had deliberate that duty for the terrorist acts could be taken by the pseudo-acronym TRF to keep up believable deniability and evade regulation enforcement companies.
Throughout the searches, many digital gadgets, together with mobiles, pen drives, information storage gadgets and different incriminating supplies have been recovered, the spokesperson mentioned.
