On the event of Kargil Vijay Diwas, members of the Indian cricket fraternity paid their tribute to the Indian troopers. The Indian Armed Forces defeated Pakistan on July 26, 1999. Since then, the day is well known as ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ to rekindle the delight and valour of the troopers who took half in Operation Vijay.

The day marks the victory of Indian troopers in recapturing the mountain heights that had been occupied by the Pakistani Military on July 26, 1999, often called the Kargil Battle.

The Kargil Battle was fought between Might 8, 1999, to July 26, 1999, towards Pakistan intruders, who within the winters of 1998 transgressed into the Indian territory throughout the Line of Management and occupied fortified defences overlooking the NH 1A in Kargil’s Drass and Batalik Sectors of the Ladakh area with a nefarious goal of dominating all army and civil actions on the freeway.

Braving unprecedented hardships, overcoming the hazards of close to inconceivable terrain and extreme weather conditions, courageous gallant troopers launched valiant assaults on well-fortified defended localities with relentless valour and enthusiasm, thus attaining an astounding victory.
