Janjgir Champa. A sensation spread in the area after a body of a young man was found in a blood-soaked sack near the Mahanadi river in Birra police station area of the district on Sunday evening. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Kashyap, a resident of Salkhan. As soon as the information about the incident was received, top police officials reached the spot.
According to the information, Santosh Kashyap, a youth, was missing from Salkhan village since September 13. The family had filed a missing person report at Shivrinarayan police station. The police started the investigation after receiving information about the body being found inside a sack. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Kashyap.
SDOP Yadumani Sidar said that after finding the body inside the sack, the police has kept the body in the postmortem house of Birra Hospital. The postmortem of the body will be conducted today. The help of the FSL team is also being taken in the investigation. Investigation is being done about the contacts and friends and enemies of the deceased. On September 13, with whom was Santosh last seen, where did he go and what is the reason for the murder, the police is engaged in gathering answers to all these questions and reaching the accused.
