CG Weather Update (Lalluram Desk). The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Raipur, Durg and Bilaspur divisions on Tuesday. However, intermittent heavy rains have been observed in entire Chhattisgarh since Monday. Due to heavy rains, many schools in Bastar have been closed. The rain continued for a long time. In the capital Raipur, rain continued even on Tuesday morning. This is the reason why heavy rains are expected in the districts of Central Chhattisgarh i.e. Bilaspur, Raipur and Durg divisions on Tuesday.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in Gariaband, Dhamtari, Balod, Mohla Manpur Ambagarh Chowki, Kanker, Bijapur and Narayanpur districts within 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, a deep depression is located over the northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal.
Moving in the north-west direction, it is likely to reach North Odisha and North Chhattisgarh in the next 24 hours. The monsoon trough is located at the middle sea level over Bikaner, Sikar, Khajuraho, Bilaspur and then southeastwards to the East Central Bay of Bengal. Due to its effect, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at most places on September 10.
