Chandrapur: 9 individuals had been charred to demise in a hearth that broke out following a collision between a diesel-laden tanker and a truck carrying wooden on the outskirts of Chandrapur metropolis of Maharashtra, a police official stated on Friday.
The accident occurred on Thursday round 10.30 pm on Chandrapur-Mul Highway, he stated.
“A tanker loaded with diesel collided with a truck transporting logs of wooden near Ajaypur close to Chandrapur metropolis. After the accident, a hearth broke out through which 9 individuals had been charred to demise on the spot,” Chandrapur’s Sub Divisional Police Officer, Sudhir Nandanwar, stated.
Sources within the forest division stated the hearth brigade personnel reached Ajaypur about an hour after the accident and the blaze was introduced underneath management a number of hours later.
The our bodies of the victims had been later taken to Chandrapur hospital, Nandanwar stated.
