Maharashtra: Three labourers killed in forest hearth

Three labourers had been killed and two others had been injured throughout an operation to douse forest hearth within the Navegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve (NNTR) on Thursday night time.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) Nitin Kakodkar mentioned, “5 labourers had been caught in a fireplace in compartment quantity 19 within the Nagzira sanctuary of NNTR. Three of them sadly died and two had been shifted to the Orange Metropolis Hospital in Nagpur for remedy of burn accidents.”

Kakodkar mentioned the hearth incident occurred round 7.30 pm within the Kosamtondi beat of the sanctuary. Villagers from Thadezari, the place these labourers belonged, beat up a forester throughout subsequent unrest. The police needed to be known as to quell the violence with the Superintendent of Police personally visiting the spot.
Rakesh Madawi (24), Rekchand Rane (45), and Sachin Shrirange (22) died within the hearth. The injured labourers are Vijay Maraskolhe (42)and Rajesh Sayam (25).
