20 year old Asmi Jain from Indore has won Apple’s WWDC23 Swift Student Challenge. The tech giant chooses a select few as winners of this challenge every year and this year one of the three winners is Asmi Jain from India, who created original apps using the Swift coding language. Jain, a student of Medi-Caps University in Indore, has developed an app that tracks the eye activity of a user while chasing a ball moving around the screen.Apple announced the winners on Tuesday. It was informed that Asmi Jain from Indore city in India is the winner of the company’s WWDC23 Swift Student Challenge. Let us tell you that Asmi’s friend’s uncle had to undergo brain surgery, due to which the pupil of his eye had changed its place and his face became paralyzed. This incident inspired Asmi to create the app. In Asmi’s app, a ball rotates around the screen, which has to be watched continuously. The app then tracks the user’s eye activity. Its purpose is to help strengthen the eye muscles. Jain hopes the app can be used by people suffering from a variety of eye conditions and injuries. According to Apple’s release, Jain said, (translated) “It was important for me to create an app playground that would help people like Can have a positive impact on people’s lives.” He added, “My next goal is to get feedback and make sure it’s effective and user-friendly, and then release it on the App Store.” The 20-year-old student says her inspiration for coding comes from the idea of solving problems in the healthcare sector. It all started many years ago when he thought of helping people around him.
