    Naidu’s lawyer Jayakar Matta said that the request for house arrest was rejected. According to Matta, the court felt that ‘Z-Plus’ security would not be given if he were under house arrest, so it was safer for Naidu to remain in jail rather than under house arrest. Additionally, according to Matta, the court said that if it had been possible to successfully provide Z-Plus security to Naidu, it could have directed him to be placed under house arrest. The court said that the jail is better in terms of security.

    CID claims government suffered loss of Rs 300 crore due to fraud

    Andhra Pradesh CID chief N. Sanjay had said after his arrest that Naidu has been arrested in a fraud case related to Skill Development Corporation, due to which the state government had suffered a loss of Rs 300 crore.
