Asian Games 2023 Indian Women vs Bangladesh Women: The Indian women’s cricket team has shown its mettle in the semi-finals of the Asian Games 2023. The team captained by Smriti Manghana has secured its ticket to the final by defeating Bangladesh by 8 wickets in the knockout match. With this, one medal of the team has also been confirmed. If the Indian team wins the final, it will create history.

    Bangladesh’s poor batting

The Bangladesh team, which came to bat first in the match, looked defeated by the Indian bowlers. Pooja Vastrakar took 4 while Titas Sadhu, Rajeshwari Gaikwad, Amanjot Kaur and Devika Vaidya took one wicket each as Bangladesh Women were bowled out for 51 runs, which is the lowest total against them in Women’s T20.

In reply, India women’s team, despite losing the wickets of openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma, achieved the target in 8.2 overs and entered the finals and ensured at least a silver medal.

Had a great performance against Malaysia

India had shown excellent batting performance in its last match against Malaysia. The T20 tie had already been reduced to 15 overs per side, but due to the weather only two balls were possible in the second innings. In the end, India, who had scored a mammoth score of 173/2 in the stipulated 15 overs, were declared winners due to their superior ranking.
