Chhattisgarh congress list, Bhupesh Baghel: The Election Commission has announced the date of voting for the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. Voting is to be held in the state in two phases (7 and 17 November). Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of candidates for 85 out of 90 seats. In such a situation, state CM Bhupesh Baghel said on Saturday that the Congress party is going to release the first list of candidates tomorrow (Sunday).
First list will be released on Sunday
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Saturday that the first list of Congress candidates for next month’s assembly elections will be released on Sunday. CM Baghel said, ‘The nine-day Navratri festival is going to start from tomorrow. I wish everyone all the best in advance. Tomorrow the first list of candidates of our party will be released.
How many candidates’ names will be announced?
When CM Baghel was asked whether all the 90 candidates would be announced on Sunday? Then he said, ‘No, this will be the first list. Another list for the second phase will be released later.

When asked about the party’s strategy to field a candidate against former Chief Minister Raman Singh on Rajnandgaon seat, Baghel said, ‘The party reveals its strategy after the list of candidates comes out. After the list is released, it will be known who will contest against Raman Singh.
Who is against Raman Singh?
In the first phase, voting will be held for 20 assembly constituencies of the state. Of these, 19 are in control of Congress. BJP has one seat (Rajnandgaon) which is represented by Raman Singh. In the last assembly elections in 2018, Congress had fielded Karuna Shukla from Rajnandgaon, who had left BJP and joined Congress. In this election, Karuna Shukla lost to Raman Singh by a margin of 16,933 votes. Karuna Shukla died in 2021.
