ENG vs SL, World Cup 2023: The 25th match of the ODI World Cup 2023 between England and Sri Lanka is being played in Bengaluru. Playing first in this match, the England team was limited to just 156 runs. It is a do or die match for England. To remain in the race for the semi-finals, the English team will have to win today at any cost. Whereas something is similar with Sri Lanka, they have got a target of 157 runs to win. England has lost three out of its four matches before this.

Sri Lankan bowlers have performed amazingly in this match. David Malan and Jonny Bairstow had added 45 runs for the first wicket. After this the next 10 wickets fell for 111 runs only. …So the defending champions will be eliminated?

The England team has suffered a humiliating defeat of 226 runs against South Africa in the last match. Whereas before that, Afghanistan had caused an upset by defeating this team. In such a situation, once again the way the English team got all out, another reversal is visible. If England loses today, its semi-final hopes will almost end. Also, the Sri Lankan team, which was considered out of the World Cup race, will bring a new energy to it.

Before this, England had played four matches and lost three. Same is the condition of Sri Lanka. This is the fifth match of both the teams. Whoever loses today, their hopes of making the semi-finals will be almost destroyed. Because the team may have to win at least 6 matches to reach the semi-finals. If any team loses today, that team will not be able to reach 6 wins even by winning all the remaining matches.
