Seagate has launched its new hard disk drive (HDD) SkyHawk AI 20TB in India. With this, another device has been added to the company’s video imaging and analytics devices. This hard disk drive is designed for Network Video Recorders (NVR). It supports multiple video and AI streams. It is built on ImagePerfect AI firmware. The device was launched this week at the ISC West security industry trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Seagate SkyHawk AI 20TB price in India, availability SkyHawk AI 20TB HDD will be priced at Rs 54,999 in India. It can be purchased from C-Gate’s distributor Prama India. The company has said that it will be mass shipping the device this month and this hard disk drive will be available for purchase in India soon. Seagate SkyHawk AI 20TB specifications, features According to Seagate, the SkyHawk AI 20TB is designed for network video recorders. It can support 64 video streams of HD camera and 32 streams of AI. The device is built with ImagePerfect AI firmware and can keep frame drops at zero percent even during heavy workloads. It has been claimed that it can give an average time of 20 lakh hours in Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). It can also handle workloads of up to 550TB per year, three times larger than standard Video Imaging and Analytics (VIA) drives. 3.5 inch form factor has been used in it. The HDD supports Skywalk Health Management to inform users about environmental and usage conditions affecting the device. It also guides the user for device protection based on this. SkyHawk AI also provides Rescue Data Recovery Services so that data loss caused due to sudden loss like power outage, user error or other reasons can be recovered. This device comes with 5 years warranty and 3 years data recovery.
