After the caste census in Bihar and its results, amidst politics regarding OBC-EBC, the largest caste group, PM Modi has said that the largest population is of the poor. Reminding the words of former PM Manmohan Singh, PM Modi also asked whether Congress now wants to reduce the rights of Muslims and if the rights will be decided by the population, then should Hindus go ahead and take all their rights?
PM Modi gave this reaction a day after the release of caste census in Bihar. Although he did not take the name of Bihar, rather said this in the name of Congress. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also been loudly demanding caste census for the last few days. PM Modi said, ‘From yesterday, Congress has started singing a different tune. Congress leaders say that the more the population, the more rights. I say that if there is any largest population in this country then it is poor. Therefore, for me the poor are the largest population and the welfare of the poor is my objective.
‘What about Hindus who have the largest population…’
PM Modi said, ‘I was wondering what former PM Manmohan Singh ji would be thinking. What would former PM Manmohan Singh ji be thinking? He used to say that minorities have the first right on the country’s resources, including Muslims. Now Congress is saying that the population will decide who will have the first right i.e. does Congress now want to reduce the rights of minorities. If it is going to be decided according to the population, then who will have the first right, whose population will be more, who will have the right. Congress people should clarify whether the rights will be given according to the population and whether the Congress wants to remove the minorities. So should Hindus, who have the largest population, come forward and take all their rights?
‘Attempt to divide Hindus’
Accusing Congress of outsourcing, PM Modi said that the party is bent on dividing Hindus. He said, ‘I have been saying this for a long time and am repeating it again today that the Congress party is no longer being run by the Congress people, the big leaders of the Congress are sitting with their mouths shut, neither are they asked nor Dare to say something. Congress has been outsourced. Congress is now being run by such people, behind the scenes people are playing such games who are in collusion with anti-national forces. Congress wants to destroy India by dividing the Hindus of the country at any cost. Congress wants to divide the poor.
Congress wants to increase enmity: Modi
PM Modi said that the poor are the biggest caste. He said, we should be cautious of the new conspiracy of Congress and its allies. If we have to talk about rights, then I would say that the poor of India have the first right on the resources of the country, whether the poor is a Dalit, whether the poor is backward, whether the poor is from the general class, for me the biggest caste is the poor. We have to change the lives of the poor. Congress wants to increase hostility among the people. Decades of Congress rule have only given the country poverty. Congress has divided the country in the name of caste. Even today she is engaged in the same work.
