New travel advisory from many countries including US, citizens advised not to go to Lebanon

America has issued a new travel advisory due to the Israel-Hamas war. Citing security reasons, America has advised its citizens not to travel to Lebanon. Along with America, Britain, France, Australia, Germany and Canada have also issued travel advisories for their citizens. Citing security reasons, these countries have instructed their citizens not to go to Lebanon. The US has asked non-essential personnel and their families at the Beirut embassy to return. In July, the State Department increased its travel advisory for Lebanon from level three to level four. In view of the security situation in Lebanon and for the safety of its citizens, America has issued a new travel advisory. Under this, it has been advised not to travel.

Advice to avoid traveling to Lebanon

Since October 7, at least 18 Lebanese have been killed in fires along the Israel-Lebanon border. In view of security, along with America, France has also appealed to its citizens to avoid going to Lebanon. While many western airlines have suspended flights. Britain’s Foreign Office has asked its citizens in Lebanon to consider whether they need to stay here. If it is not needed then go away from here. Canada, Spain, Germany and Australia have also issued travel advisories for their citizens.

America’s new travel advisory

The US State Department issued an advisory on Tuesday saying people should not travel to Lebanon due to the unprecedented security situation due to rocket, missile and artillery attacks between Israel and Hezbollah or other armed terrorist groups. It has been said in the advisory that after the violence between Israel and Gaza that started on October 7, there have been large-scale protests till now. Considering security, American citizens should avoid such places.

More than 1400 people have died due to Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7. People were killed by shooting, stabbing and burning, mostly civilians. Whereas Israel, burning in the fire of revenge, has retaliated and killed about 3 thousand people so far. Hezbollah has called for a “day of rage” after an attack on a Gaza hospital on Tuesday killed hundreds of people. Israel and Palestine are blaming each other for this attack.

Protests taking place at various places

According to news agency AFP, following Hezbollah’s call, hundreds of protesters scuffled with Lebanese security forces outside the US Embassy in Beirut’s Awkar on Tuesday night. Here the protesters pelted stones and set a building on fire. Hundreds of people also gathered outside the French embassy in Beirut, waving Hezbollah flags and throwing stones. Anger has also erupted in Palestinian refugee camps in the southern cities of Sidon and Tyre. In fact, Palestinian groups in Lebanon have called for massive rallies on Wednesday to condemn the hospital attack.
