After the announcement of voting dates for Chhattisgarh assembly elections, there has been an increase in commotion in the state. Leaders of both BJP and Congress parties are reaching the state for election campaign. During this period, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also reached Chhattisgarh. Here he targeted Mohammad Akbar, a minister in the Chhattisgarh government. He said that once Akbar comes to the country, he settles a hundred Akbars. He made this appeal to the people of Chhattisgarh in a warning tone. During this, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has also targeted the Chief Minister of Assam.
The Chief Minister of Assam, who is on Chhattisgarh tour, has taken a dig at Mohammad Akbar, a minister in the Bhupesh Baghel government. Appealing to the public sarcastically, he said that if one Akbar comes, he settles a hundred, the public should keep this in mind. During this period, Sarma remained quite vocal while talking about Hindutva. Answering the questions of reporters, he said that what should one say if one does not speak about Hindus after coming to a Hindu country?
During this, Sarma described Hindutva as a big issue of the country. He told reporters not to just call it a big issue. While talking about Hindu religion, Sarma said that we have been Hindu for 5 thousand years and if any challenge comes on Hinduism then it cannot be termed as ‘just’. During this, he also expressed his opinion on the issue of love-jihad and religious conversion.
CM Baghel’s counterattack
Taking a dig at the statement made by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was visiting the state, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that if you are a Hindu then first get tonsured and then talk about being a Hindu. During this, he also targeted the Himanta government of Assam and said that it should also bring accounts of what happened with the government funds in Assam.
Let us tell you that voting has been announced in two phases in Chhattisgarh. The first phase of voting will be held on November 7 along with the Mizoram elections while the second phase of voting will be held on November 17 along with the Madhya Pradesh elections. Voting will be held for 20 seats in the first phase, while voting will be held for 70 seats in the second phase. Its results will be announced simultaneously on December 3.
