Babar Azam statement after defeat from afghanistan: Afghanistan made a big blast in the World Cup 2023 on Monday. The Afghan team created a big upset and defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets. This was Afghanistan’s second major upset in this World Cup. Earlier he had defeated England. This was Pakistan’s third defeat after India and Australia. After this crushing defeat, questions are being raised on Pakistan team and captain Babar Azam. The captain tried to answer these questions in the match presentation.
Spinners did not bowl the ball on the right length
Babar Azam said- “We scored well, but we were not that good in bowling. We could not take wickets in the middle overs. In the World Cup, if you are not good in even one department, you lose the match. We started well bowling, but we could not take wickets. The full credit for this victory goes to Afghanistan. Full credit goes to Afghanistan for the way they played in all three departments. We will try our best in the next match. We did not bowl on length in the middle overs, especially our spinners. That’s why we couldn’t put pressure on the batsmen.”
we are not playing good cricket
Babar further said- We are not playing good cricket. Especially in bowling and fielding… in the field we did not stop the boundaries and gave away runs, for which we had to suffer the consequences. Even in the second innings, the pitch was helping the spinners, but there was no pressure visible on their batsmen.” Babar said- We are saddened by this defeat.
