PAK vs NED: Netherlands lost but the powerful all-rounder won with ball and bat

PAK vs NED, World Cup 2023: World Cup 2023 has started. The second match of the tournament was played between Pakistan and Netherlands on Friday in Hyderabad. The Netherlands team definitely lost in this match, but there was one player who succeeded in winning the hearts of the fans. This young player is none other than Dutch all-rounder Bas de Leede. He bowled well first and took four wickets. After this, he did wonders in batting and played a brilliant half-century innings of 67 runs.

Bas de Leed has joined an exclusive club with his all-round performance against Pakistan in Hyderabad. He has become the third player to take four wickets and a half-century while debuting in the World Cup. Before him, only two players had achieved this special achievement. This included the names of Duncan Fletcher and Neil Johnson. Such a feat has happened again after 24 years in World Cup history. The last time Neil Johnson did this was in 1999.

The lead was impressive during the bowling in Hyderabad. He bowled a total of nine overs for his team in this match. Meanwhile, he was successful in taking maximum four wickets while spending 62 runs at an economy of 6.88. His victims were Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan and Hasan Ali. Then in batting, he faced 68 balls while batting at number four and scored 67 runs. He hit six fours and two sixes in this innings.
