FIR against Anand Mahindra: Mahindra & Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra is very active on social media. An FIR has been lodged against him. A person resident of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh has lodged an FIR of fraud against Anand Mahindra and 13 employees of the company. It is alleged that Mahindra employees sold him a Scorpio without airbags. The Scorpio became a victim of an accident and her only son lost his life in the incident. Mint report states that a person named Rajesh Mishra had purchased a black colored Scorpio from Tirupati Auto in the city in December 2020. Then Rs 17.39 lakh was paid for it. The company had told Rajesh all the features of the car. Rajesh Mishra had also seen the advertisements shown by Anand Mahindra on social media. According to the report, Rajesh had gifted that Scorpio car to his son Dr. Apoorva Mishra. The vehicle met with an accident on January 14, 2022. While returning from Lucknow to Kanpur, the vehicle collided with the divider due to fog and overturned. Rajesh Mishra’s son Apoorva lost his life in the accident. The report says that after the incident, on January 29, Rajesh reached Tirupati Auto and informed about the defects in the vehicle. Also informed that his son was wearing seat belt, but the airbags did not deploy during the accident. Said that the car was sold to him fraudulently. The complainant says that if the car had been sold after testing, his son would not have died in the accident. It is also alleged that when he complained, the company employees argued with him. At the behest of the company manager, the complainant’s family was subjected to indecency. He was threatened with death. Later the car was also taken to Mahindra showroom.
