In Chhattisgarh, a Sikh youth was murdered because he was shouting slogans of Hindustan Zindabad while watching the movie ‘Gadar 2’. The surprising thing is that those who murdered the young man were none other than his own friends. The deceased has been identified as Malkit Singh (32). This is an incident from Durg district.
Was watching ‘Gadar 2’ on mobile
According to the information, 32 year old Malkit was watching ‘Gadar 2’ on mobile phone with his friend Om Kumar. He started raising patriotic slogans at a scene in the film. Hearing the slogans of Hindustan Zindabad and Bharat Mata Ki Jai, his other friends present there got enraged. Five people together attacked Malkit and Om Kumar.
All accused arrested
In this case, the police have arrested Tarun Nishad, Shubham Lahare alias Ballu, Tavassur, Faisal and another accused. It is alleged that the five had beaten Malkit and Om and injured them. Sikh youth Malkit died during treatment.
Huge resentment in Sikh community
There is immense anger among the people of Sikh community after the murder of Malkit. The Sikh community and others protested outside the police station. The protesters have demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh and a government job for one family member.
