Hasan Ali likely to replace Naseem Shah in Pakistan squad: Pakistan’s World Cup team will be announced on Friday. A 15-member team will be announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). According to Pakistani media, 14 out of the 17 players of the Asia Cup squad are expected to retain their places for the World Cup. However, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Haris may be dropped from the World Cup team. Wicketkeeper-batsman Abrar may be in reserve along with Ahmed. According to the report, Hasan Ali may return to the Pakistan team. He can replace Naseem Shah.

Naseem suffered a shoulder injury in the Asia Cup 2023 and is expected to be out for a long time. Hasan Ali has taken 91 wickets in 60 ODI matches. He played his last ODI against West Indies in June last year. After this he was given a chance in the Test against New Zealand in January. However, he has not played international cricket since then.
