Hasan Ali likely to replace Naseem Shah in Pakistan squad: Pakistan’s World Cup team will be announced on Friday. A 15-member team will be announced by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Changes can be made in the team announced for the World Cup till September 27. Although PCB has already delayed a lot in this.
According to Pakistani media, 14 out of the 17 players of the Asia Cup squad are expected to retain their places for the World Cup. However, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Haris may be dropped from the World Cup team. Wicketkeeper-batsman Abrar may be in reserve along with Ahmed. According to the report, Hasan Ali may return to the Pakistan team. He can replace Naseem Shah.
91 wickets in 60 ODI matches
Naseem suffered a shoulder injury in the Asia Cup 2023 and is expected to be out for a long time. Hasan Ali has taken 91 wickets in 60 ODI matches. He played his last ODI against West Indies in June last year. After this he was given a chance in the Test against New Zealand in January. However, he has not played international cricket since then. He is currently showing strength in the Caribbean Premier League.

Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq are expected to be included in Pakistan’s World Cup squad along with captain Babar Azam. The team will also include Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Usama Mir and Haris Rauf. Apart from this, the team will include Mohammad Wasim Junior, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Aga. The Pakistan team will be announced tomorrow by chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq.
