The capital is fully prepared to host the international hockey tournament. Women’s Asian Champions Trophy will start for the first time from October 27 at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Stadium in Morabadi.
All the teams participating in this have reached Ranchi. All the teams were given a grand welcome at Birsa Munda Airport.
All the players were welcomed with the traditional dance (Jhumar) of Jharkhand at Birsa Munda Airport. During the welcome, the women of Ranchi present there were seen in the traditional attire of Jharkhand.
League matches will be played from October 27 to November 2. There will be three matches every day. The first match will be played from 4:00 pm, the second match from 6:15 pm, while the third match will be played from 8:30 pm.
There is no charge for entry of spectators into the stadium. That means spectators will be able to enjoy all the matches for free. Spectators will get entry on the lines of ‘first come, first served’.
Those spectators who will be deprived of entry into the stadium will be able to enjoy the match on the LED screen installed outside the stadium.
The final of the championship will be played on November 5. Before this, both the semi-final matches will be held on November 4. Before the final on November 5, there will be a match for third and fourth places. The final match will be played from 8.30 pm.
Hockey President of Jharkhand and Vice President of Hockey India, Bhola Nath Singh welcomed all the players in Ranchi by wearing shawls.
