The special session of Parliament starting from September 18 will begin with the discussion on the parliamentary journey of 75 years of the Indian Parliament. So far, the government’s agenda during this special session includes presenting a total of five bills in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

This information has been given in the bulletin issued by the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariat on Wednesday. According to this, on September 18, the proceedings in both the houses will start with the discussion on the history of Indian democracy. Parliament has had a dignified history for the last 75 years, from the Constituent Assembly till now. What can be learned today from the experiences and achievements made during this period? There will be detailed discussion on topics related to these.

So far, the government’s agenda during this special session includes bringing a total of five bills in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The most important bill in this is related to the change in the appointment, conditions of service and tenure of the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners.

Apart from this, The Post Office Bill 2023, The Advocates (Amendment) Bill 2023, Registration of Press and Magazines Bill 2023 related to improvement in postal services are also included in the tentative list of business of the government.

This five-day special session of Parliament will start from September 18 and continue till September 22.
