The Pakistani Army on Saturday opened fire (cover fire) and targeted an Indian Army drone to aid terrorists trying to cross the Line of Control with the intention of infiltrating into Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, but security forces killed three terrorists. This infiltration attempt was foiled by killing. The officers provided this information. Addressing a press conference in North Kashmir’s Uri, Brigadier PMS Dhillon said the operation was launched in the early hours of Saturday at Hathlanga in Uri sector near the Line of Control following intelligence input about infiltration attempts by Pakistan-based organizations. He said, we were getting intelligence that Pakistani organizations are trying to infiltrate into Uri to destabilize peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, we have strengthened the anti-infiltration and surveillance grid.
