Why will the ticket be deducted?
TOI quoted sources as saying that Congress may cancel the tickets of 20-25 of its current MLAs. This is because the party had conducted an election related survey in which the report of these MLAs was not good. However, political experts say that it will not be easy for the party to cut the tickets of so many MLAs. This can also have a negative impact on the party.
Benefit to those close to CM Baghel?
According to sources, Congress had conducted several surveys in Chhattisgarh regarding ticket distribution. In these surveys, the reports of 25 out of 71 MLAs have come negative. This means that if he is given the ticket again, Congress may have to face challenges on that seat. The high command had also held a meeting with CM Bhupesh Baghel regarding this.
