New Delhi: The Nationwide Investigation Company and the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday carried out nationwide raids in opposition to terror funding suspects and detained practically 100 PFI activists for allegedly supporting terrorists, officers stated.
The raids, going down primarily in South India, was termed by the NIA because the “largest ever” investigation course of “until date”.
The NIA stated the searches are going down on the premises of individuals allegedly concerned in terror funding, organising coaching camps, and radicalising individuals to hitch proscribed organisations.
In line with the officers, practically 100 activists, together with the highest leaders of the Folks’s Entrance of India (PFI), have been detained up to now within the raids that are going down in 10 states.
The PFI, in a press release, stated the “raids are going down on the houses of its nationwide, state and native leaders. The state committee workplace can be being raided”.
“We strongly protest the fascist regime’s strikes to make use of companies to silence dissenting voices,” the outfit stated.
