New Delhi: The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) on Thursday (November 25) filed a chargesheet towards Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a member of the proscribed terrorist group Babbar Khalsa Worldwide (BKI) for allegedly conspiring to hold out terrorist acts in India.
Nijjar, who was initially a resident of Punjab’s Jalandhar and at present residing in Canada, has been charged below a number of sections of Illegal Actions (Prevention) Act.

“He has been attempting to incite  Sikhs to vote for secession, agitate towards the Authorities of India and perform violent actions, via varied posts, audio messages and movies posted on social media,” mentioned the NIA.
He has been designated as a ‘terrorist’ below the UAPA, it added.
