Pune Rural police busted an alleged prostitution racket in Lonavala and arrested a person who contacted potential clients via WhatsApp. Additionally they rescued two ladies hailing from Delhi and Chhattisgarh.
The accused was recognized as Dhananjay Katwaru Rajbhar (37) from Chembur in Mumbai.
Engaged on a tip-off, the police had zeroed in on an individual who operated in Lonavala hill station and surrounding areas and despatched pictures of girls to potential shoppers on WhatsApp. In an operation carried out late Friday night time and which lasted until Saturday morning, the police initially contacted the suspect on WhatsApp via a decoy buyer.
