Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury ‘Rashtra-patni comment’: A First Info Report (FIR) has been registered in Madhya Pradesh towards Congress Lok Sabha chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury for his controversial comment on President Droupadi Murmu on the grievance of a BJP chief, a police official stated on Sunday.
The FIR registered at Dindori police station underneath numerous sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), together with selling enmity between completely different teams, has been despatched to Parliament Home police station in Delhi for motion, he stated.
A case was registered towards Chowdhury underneath IPC sections 153 (A) (1) (selling enmity between completely different teams) and 505 (assertion conducing to public mischief) on the grievance of former MP minister Om Prakash Dhurve, stated Inspector CK Sirame of Dindori Kotwali police station.
“The FIR has been transferred to Delhi Police by Dindori Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh for perusal and investigation,” he added.
Because the incident passed off in Delhi, the FIR has been despatched to Parliament Home police station for motion, Singh informed PTI on Sunday.
In his grievance, Dhurve claimed Chowdhury’s comment had damage the feelings of tribals. The Congress chief has already apologised for the assertion, which induced an enormous uproar inside and out of doors Parliament.
