Armaan Jaffer, the nephew of former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer, has had his contract revoked by the Pondicherry Cricket Association. The decision stems from his failure to participate in the pre-season inter-state tournament, opting instead for a tournament in Yorkshire, England. The 26-year-old player had requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association in May to play for Pondicherry in the 2025-26 domestic season. However, he is currently playing for Whiston Cricket Club in the Yorkshire Champions League. The Pondicherry Cricket Association has alleged that Armaan refused to participate in their pre-season preparations. Consequently, Jayant Yadav will now play for Pondicherry in the upcoming season.
