The BCCI is poised for a leadership shift, with current President Roger Binny potentially resigning. Vice-President Rajeev Shukla has been designated as the interim president. Shukla oversaw a BCCI officials’ meeting on August 27th, during which the board addressed the need for new sponsorships following the end of the Dream 11 partnership. Binny, who replaced Sourav Ganguly as president in 2022, is nearing the age limit set by the BCCI constitution. As a result, he may soon relinquish his position.
