ICC Champions Trophy 2025: There is a big update regarding the Champions Trophy 2024. The ICC has given a big gift to the Pakistan Cricket Board. The budget for the Champions Trophy has been passed in the ICC’s annual meeting held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. However, it is still not decided whether the Indian team will go to Pakistan next year or not. It is believed that if Team India does not go to Pakistan, then its matches can be played at neutral venues like Asia Cup 2023.
Actually, according to the latest report, ICC has given more than 1200 crore rupees to Pakistan for the preparations of organizing the Champions Trophy. This amount has been given to PCB. This entire budget has been passed to renovate stadiums like Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Pakistan Cricket Board hopes that the Indian team will come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, but BCCI has not given any answer on this issue till now.
India-Pakistan match on March 1 (Champions Trophy 2025)
According to the draft sent by Pakistan to ICC for Champions Trophy, all the matches of India are to be held in Lahore. This match between India and Pakistan is to be held in Lahore on 1st March. If Team India enters the semi-finals, then it will have to play all the knockout matches in Lahore.
We are ready to play without India
In fact, recently Pakistani cricketer Hasan Ali had said that if BCCI does not send Team India to Pakistan, then we are ready to play without them. On Sama TV, Ali said that our chairman has already said that the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan and if the Indian team does not want to come to our country, then we are ready to play without them. If they do not come, it does not mean that cricket is over.
ICC will take the final decision
After this statement of Hasan Ali, a BCCI source said, ‘This is not a bilateral series, where talks between the two boards are currently on hold. So far there has been no talks between PCB and us regarding the Champions Trophy. This talk is not on any agenda and neither was there any debate on it during the AGM. It is still far away and the ICC will take the final decision.’
