The pulse of New Delhi quickens as the city prepares to host its grandest marathon yet, welcoming over 30,000 runners on Sunday. Vijender Singh, the boxing trailblazer, and Rohan Bopanna, tennis maestro, will launch the races from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in a star-studded start.
This international extravaganza features participants from 31 countries, 490 cities, and India’s 32 states and UTs, marking a milestone in diversity. Races span full marathon, half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km, packed with India’s finest: Anish Thapa, Beliyappa, Man Singh, Gopi T, Dr. Kartik, Akshay Saini, Bhagirathi Bisht, Nirmaben Thakor Bharatji, Ashwini Madan Jadhav, Disket Dolma, and Stanjzin Dolkar.
As an Asian Games qualifier, it holds crucial weight. Inclusivity shines with 20 visually impaired runners. Rs 10 lakh raised will fuel the Athletics Federation of India’s youth programs.
