American tennis star Coco Gauff has celebrated a historic victory at the French Open, securing her first title at the prestigious tournament. Facing off against World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a captivating final, Gauff showcased remarkable resilience and skill on Court Philippe-Chatrier. The match concluded with scores of 6-7 (5), 6-2, and 6-4 in Gauff’s favor. This triumph is particularly noteworthy as it marks Gauff’s second Grand Slam title, complementing her previous US Open win in 2023, where she also defeated Sabalenka. Gauff’s win also serves as sweet revenge for her recent loss to Sabalenka at the Madrid Open. With this French Open title, Gauff has solidified her dominance with a 6-5 lead in their head-to-head matches and also earned her first clay title of the season after losing in the finals of both the Rome and Madrid Opens.
