Excitement gripped the equestrian world as Haryana Police clinched four medals at the 44th All India Police Equestrian Duty Meet in Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh, spanning February 12 to 26, 2026. The competition pitted top police equestrians against each other in tests of agility, control, and endurance.
The Haryana team rose to the occasion, delivering performances that blended athleticism with military precision, proudly representing their force on the national stage.
DGP Ajay Singhal beamed with pride, attributing the wins to tireless effort and superior drills. ‘This victory celebrates our jawans’ versatility and the quality of our equestrian program. We look forward to more such glories,’ he affirmed.
Leading the medal tally was Tamil Nadu with seven awards—two golds, five bronzes—plus two rolling trophies. Chennai City Police Mounted Unit dominated, taking one gold, five bronzes, and a trophy. Standout achievements: ASP Kunal Utham Shirode’s gold and special trophy; Head Constable Suganya’s gold, two bronzes, and Best Lady Rider trophy; bronzes for Head Constable Manikandan, Horse Handler Manivannan, and Assistant Kartik.
